Fabric Needed
Miscellaneous strips of fabrics, 1" to 2" wide by at least
8" long.
8 1/2" square for background
Assembly
1. Sew strips together using 1/4" seams until you have
18 1/2" in length. Strips should be 8" in length (each
strip.) Trim the assembled strips to 7 1/2" wide by 18
1/2" long.
2. Cut a square of background fabric 8 1/2". Cut in half
diagonally.
3. Mark the center of the strips on each long side. Pin
center of each 1/2 square triangle to the center of each
side of the strip assembly (right sides together). Sew
half square triangles to sides of strip assembly.
4. Trim the block to 12 1/2" square (or as close as you
can).
