5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Fabric Needed

2 focal fabrics  (i.e., reds and blues) 3" each
1  plain fabric (i.e., white) 6"

Cut

1 - 1 1/2" by WOF from red, subcut into three 6" pieces
1 - 1 1/2" by WOF from blue, subcut into three 6" pieces
1 - 6" square from white

Assembly

1.  Sew red and blue 6" pieces together alternating
colors.


2.  On wrong side of white fabric, draw a line corner to
corner.





3.  With right sides together, stitch 1/4" on each side of
the drawn line.  


4.  Cut on center line and press to strip set.
Square to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"


Each set will make 2 units.  These units will be sewn
together later to make an hourglass block.
