1. Cut pieces as follows:
Main Piece 27" x 41"
Border Piece 10" x 41"
Accent Strip 3" x 41"
2. Lay 10" border piece face up on table.
3. Lay main piece of pillowcase face up--lined up with border piece. All raw edges match at
the top.
4. Press the 3" trim piece in half the long way and lay face up on top of the main piece. All
raw edges on the top.
5. Roll the main fabric from the bottom up and then fold the border piece up to the top and
pin all the raw edges together.
6. Stitch 1/2 inch along the edge. You now have a tube of fabric. Turn the tube inside out.
And like magic your pillowcase is nearly finished with no raw edges and a completed finished
edge on the front and back.
7. Finish the side seams and bottom seams with a serger OR do a "French Seam" so you
have no raw edges on the inside seams as well. To do a "French seam" put the pillow case
wrong sides together and stitch a scant 1/4 inch seam, then put right sides together and
sew a 1/2 inch seam.
